Ephrata Area Social Services offers social services, financial assistance, and community resources to families in need.

The goal of the Community Support Service department is to help neighbors within Northern Lancaster County to create a plan for long-term stability by connecting them with community resources, education, and providing financial assistances.

EASS may provide a certain amount of financial assistance depending on the income level of the family and the severity of the situation. These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Budgeting, savings, or other classes may be required for financial support.

For families seeking financial assistance, the following must be done:

  • Call to schedule an appointment

  • Bring to your appointment proof of income, proof of address, bank statements, current bills and ID

  • A staff member will discuss your situation and help you to create a plan to move forward
